| Laura Lacambra Shubert, daughter of a Basque father and American mother, grew up in Florida and Spain and chose art as a career at an early age. She studied painting, drawing and printmaking at Southern Methodist University, where she received her B.F.A. in 1986. After studying painting at Academie Port Royal, in Paris, France. for one year, she returned to the United States. where she began exhibiting in solo and group shows across the country. In 2000, she was named a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in London, England (established in 1754). Her work can be found in private and corporate collections in the United States and abroad. |  |
