New Map of the New World |
This is the only example in this exhibitionof a map published in Ireland. Exshaw was an esteemed publisher in 18th century Dublin and held the position of Lord Mayor of Dublin in 1789-90. This beautiful double hemisphere map surprisingly features the newly formed United States of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
